Arnold Vosloo was born in Pretoria, South Africa, to stage the parents of actors, Johanna Petronella Vorster and Johannes J. Daniel Vosloo. He is South African (mainly Dutch, German, Swiss-German, Danish and French, descent).
Vosloo quickly established a fine reputation as an actor in his native South Africa, winning several awards for his theatrical work, including “More Is’ n Lang Dag”, (1984) ” Don Juan “and” Torch Song Trilogy “. A regular artist, he has also starred in “Savages” (1973), “Twelfth Night” and “Hamlet”. His film career at the RSA earned him the Dalro Award as Best Actor for Boetie Gaan Border Toe!
