He was drafted in 2003 at the 124th place (fourth round) by the San Francisco 49ers. In his first game, he stands out by blocking a Punt against the Chicago Bears. On November 2, 2003, he captured his first pass for a Touchdown against St Louis Rams, season he finished with 14 receptions, for 212 yards and 2 touchdowns. In 2004, during his second season in the NFL, he captured 43 assists, 565 yards and 6 touchdowns and for his last season with the San Francisco 49ers, he left the club with a final season at 48 receptions, 733 yards and 5 touchdowns .
