Bruce Robinson is a British actor, screenwriter and director, born May 2, 1946 in Broadstairs (United Kingdom).
Trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, in 1968 he played the role of Benvolio in the version of Romeo and Juliet by Franco Zeffirelli. Despite this and other roles under the direction of Ken Russell or François Truffaut, for whom he also holds the main male role in The History of Adèle H. in 1975, he notes that his career does not take off. He ended his acting career in the early 1980s, holding only casual roles, and turned to screenwriting. He is an Oscar nominee for The Tear. In 1987, he also went on stage.
